Erectile dysfunction medications seized in Glengormley

Large quantities of unlicensed medications have been seized by Department of Health authorities throughout a search of a house in Glengormley.

A man was talked to by department officers about illegally importing and subsequently supplying unlicensed impotence medications by means of the web.

The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medicine offenses.

He will now be the of a report to the general public Prosecution Service.

The search was brought out by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, stated: "It is crucial that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medicines can be harmful.

"These kinds of items being sold, normally online, have gone through no quality control and there can be no warranty about their safety.

"You merely do not understand what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More importantly, you do not know the effect drugs like this might have on your health."
