The Middle East is a region where cars and truck is king and fuel is low-cost, frequently leaving little incentive to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of moving around.
But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have actually risen the price of oil, the issue of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.
In a region that has among the highest carbon footprints in the world, one service is making the most of the growing pressure to discover options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's too, already their client-list contains McDonald's.
